The Process
The beginning of any custom letterpress project starts with a conversation. During a first meeting, we will discuss your project needs and vision or can brainstorm if you are unsure where to begin. After our initial meeting, a proposal detailing all custom design work, printed components, and a project quote will be submitted to you for approval. To begin the design process, a signed contract and 50% payment upfront is necessary. Once the design process commences, we’ll work together to create designs that suit your style and reflect your ideas. When the design portion of a project is complete, the last 50% payment is due before any letterpress printing can begin.
The entire process for designing and printing a letterpress project can take 5-8 weeks, depending on the extent of the project as well as if the client(s) are aware of their design needs upfront or not. Sometimes a project needs to be completed in less time, and we are happy to discuss your scheduling needs.
A price quote is prepared custom for each and every project. Many factors go into quoting a letterpress project: what types of papers are used, how many inks are involved, the quantities of each piece (as well as how many components are involved), and any finishing work that is needed. If you are working within a strict budget, we’re happy to consider every option available to provide you with custom letterpress items that you'll love.
